  5. Seatwork Seatwork reinforces daily lessons, increases motor skills and encourages independence. It also teaches students to follow directions.

  8. LUNCH • Your child will be enjoying lunch in school this year. Please practice your child’s Student ID Number since it will be used everyday to purchase lunch in school.

  17. MUSIC Apply music skills and knowledge. Be able to demonstrate proper performance and audience etiquette. Be able to use different registers of voice. Be able to make a steady beat. Be able to hear different kinds of sounds. Be able to play unpitched percussion instruments. Be able to participate in a variety of world music.

How Can I Prepare my Child for Kindergarten? • Practice tying, zippering and buttoning. • Teach your child to print their first name with proper mechanics (Capital letter at the beginning only). • Let your child practice using scissors, glue sticks and crayons. • Practice opening snacks and juice boxes with your child. • Have your child practice memorizing their Student Id Number. • Practice identifying uppercase letters prior to starting kindergarten • Read to your child daily
