  2. Parent Letter • Welcome to room 302; 6th grade • Ms.Manchor-----Will change to Mrs.Galasso • Expectations of you and your family

Procedures • MORNING- • Come in quietly, sit in your seat and unpack • Give your homework to your group CAPTAIN • The student with the closet job will come around to collect your book bag and jacket. • Begin morning work in morning notebook • During Class- • Quietly pay attention to each lesson taught • Have a sharpened pencil and pen ready to use at all times • Stay on task and focused to understand the material being taught.

  4. Procedures Continued…. • After Lunch/Recess • Come in quietly and wait to hand your jacket/lunch box to the student who has the closet job. • Take out the materials needed for the afternoon lesson.

  5. Rules/Expectations • No talking when teacher/guest or another student is talking (one speaker at a time) • No food/gum/candy/drinks allowed in the classroom unless I give permission • Always be prepared with necessary materials for class • No throwing paper or objects around or on the floor. • Keep your hands, feet and all objects to yourself.

  6. Rules/Expectations Cont. • Foul language and words such as “stupid”, “idiot” will not be tolerated or allowed in the classroom • Follow the GOLDEN RULE: • Treat others how you would like to be treated” • These are the expectations and rules of the classroom, if you chose not to follow them here are the following consequences-------

  7. Consequences • (3) Verbal warnings • Student pockets • Note/Phone call home • Loss of recess/free time • Extra homework/essay to write • Student-teacher conference • Parent-teacher conference

  8. Consequences Cont… • Write-up • Point deduction off assignments/tests • Loss of other privelages • Field trips • Parties • Etc… • Should you choose to be a good students (which I expect from all of you) your rewards are as follows-----

  9. Rewards • Privilege passes • Field trips • Parties • Stickers • Homework pass • +5,+10 point passes (used for any assignment) • Free time

  11. Welcome to 302 • We are here to learn and grow as young adults. We will have fun while learning if you follow rules and procedures I have laid down for us to have a good year. • QUESTIONS???? COMMENTS????
