  12. Management and Administration • MMBAs functions through an Executive Committee, the policy making body of the organisation. The Executive Committee comprises 11 Members chaired by a President. The Secretary of the organisation oversees the day-to-day administration. The organisation Co-ordinator heads the organisations ongoing programmes and the professional staff of Mahila Mandal Barmer Agor. • The organization functions through its working divisions and institutions, which is headed by Chairperson. There is a Management Co-ordination team, to make decisions relating to execution of policies. The Organization Co-coordinator assists the Chairperson with decentralized authority. • The coordinators head their respective cells under general terms of reference. The works in the cells are planned and implemented through a vertical management structure. Performance of the divisions is reviewed monthly through a co-ordination meeting. • The Program Division implements projects through its field offices. The Program coordinators and program team remain responsible for implementation of the projects. Monthly Progress Review Meetings are held at the field and the head office levels. The Program Officers visit fields on monthly basis. Monitoring Officers visit the project areas to check progress on sampling basis and give feedback to the Management. The organization coordinator and the Chairperson also make regular field visits and share their experience at the monthly meetings. • The Administration Division provides administrative support services like procurement, supply, recruitment & management of personnel. The Finance Division is responsible for the fund management including accounts keeping. Training and Materials Development Division provides technical services including personnel training at Headquarters and field levels, and develops need based educational materials for use in program. The Documentation & professional Division undertakes research & documentation part, monitoring of project activities with a view to, improving project designs, identifying lapses and weaknesses, in any of the projects under implementation.

MMBA’s initiatives in the project area • Formation of SHGs of women to make them socially and economically strong. • Women empowerment through involving them in PRIs and decision making. • To provide skill up gradation training to the women for self dependency and economic ally sustainable. • Linking all the members of the SHGs to the Banks for the benefits of the govt. schemes such as SGSY etc. • IEC activities: - affecting the improvement of community health status through local languages i.e. Slogan writing, street plays, awareness generating, rallies, etc. • Bring down the incidence and prevalence of health problem e.g. Malaria, pneumonia, Anaemia, water born & seasonal disease etc. • Generating awareness & increase accessibility of immunization to mother & child • Conducted Women Health meeting to aware about breast feeding, nutrition food, vitamins, immunization, small family norms etc

MMBA’s initiatives in the project area • Enabling adolescent to gain information and skill through trained teacher and peer educator in their schools • Formation of village Health committee & Adolescent groups • Strengthen the TBA (Dais) ANM & CHV, through their training, the people preferring deliveries through institutional & trained dais • Promoting & adopting the eligible couple small family norms and the number of client increased in operation of family planning • Men, women, adolescent have role in decision making on health aspect through regular health meeting • Motivate to community about sterilization camps for men & women • Participation in pulse polio campaigning, awareness on malaria prevention, HIV / AIDS, & Health related program at village & PHC level • Supported to ANM, AWW, Health functionaries contact, Liasioning with Health functionaries • Research activities on agriculture, animal husbandry and environmental issues. • Creating awareness to stoppage early child & mismatch marriage to the people through regular meeting • Life skill education to Adolescent through their meeting

Project objective • Secure and enhance the present livelihoods and coping strategies by mitigating risks. • Promote income and employment enhancing opportunities by building capacities, providing financial services and establishing partnerships with private sector for securing better market access and • Promote inclusion, by empowering and organizing the target household into SHGs, marketing groups/ federation/ producer companies and village development committees

Approaches: • creating an enabling environment by improving financial and economical sector regulation • Organizing the rural poor in form of SHGs and enhance their capacities. • Provide services such as health, education and livelihood along with micro finance. • Enhance the people participation and involve the active rural in the programme. • providing entrepreneurship training and supporting skills development, and • Meeting the financing needs of micro, small and medium size enterprises, and the need for poor households to have access to a range of financial services.

  26. Methodology The project will be run for five years in 8 phases. The initial tasks will be- • Establishment of field office and recruitment of staff. • Orientation training of staff. • Base line survey and need assessment of the proposed areas. • Formation of village profile and village development plan. • Formation of SHGs and entry point activities such as IEC activities and formation of VDCs. • Organize poor women ( BPL) and to initiate the activities such as thrift and credit, training and internal lending. • Facilitate training programmes to SHGs and VDCs such as Entrepreneurship skill development, livestock development and cross learning visits.

Continued……… • Identify the priority demand of the SHG and VDC to assist them to prepare the proposal and plan through awareness and exposure visits. • Assist SHGs in better regulation of their group and facilitate them corpus funds from project and bank loans. • Organize and motivate the SHG and VDC members to advocate the various issues of their members and concerned villages. • Provide and organize technical assistance and other guidance to SHG and VDC for sustainable livelihood sub project preparation. • Make the bridge between SHG/ VDC and Banks and Fund facilitating agency.

Continued……… • Support the members in establishing the enterprise and ensure the repayment of funds. • Facilitate the enterprise in marketing , along with other appropriate agencies working in the project to support micro enterprises. • Ensure that each and every BPL family of the proposed area got the benefit from the project. • Extend the efforts in other areas such as livestock development, health, education etc • Facilitate in linking the families with other schemes of govt. • Promotion of federation and producer companies.

Expected outcome • 450 SHGs will be formed in each proposed block. • Income and employment enhancing opportunities will be promoted by building capacities, providing financial services and establishing partnerships with private sector for securing better market access . • Present livelihood option will be enhanced and secured to mitigate the migration from the area. • Micro enterprises will be established in the remote areas to accelerate the economical and social status of BPL families. • Poor will be organized as federation to advocate the various issues and enhance their financial growth collectively. • Various govt. schemes will make the direct reach to poor and deserving.
