Harrison Peters - Master’s in Educational Leadership

Harrison Peters served in the US Navy. He started his teaching career in Apopka, Florida as an elementary teacher. With new experiences came new opportunities, where he would go on to serve schools in various roles including deputy superintendent, chief of schools, dean of students, assistant principal, and other significant roles. During his time at Hillsborough County Schools in Florida, he was credited with driving record-breaking graduation numbers and drastically reducing the student achievement gap.

  2. Co-Founder and CEO Harrison Peters is the co-founder and CEO of Men of Color in Educational Leadership (MCEL). Tapping into his prolific career as a school administrator, he identified a need for leadership support, particularly as it pertains to minorities in leadership positions.Peters has worked for large school districts in Illinois, Texas, Rhode Island, and Florida, leaving a legacy of improved student performance and a reduced learning gap.

  3. Former School Administrator Harrison Peters is the co-founder of MCEL—Men of Color in Educational Leadership. As a former school administrator serving in various roles, he has devoted his career to reducing student achievement gaps and facilitating a learning space that encourages growth. He is a veteran of the United States Navy and holds a master’s in education leadership from Nova Southeastern University.
