The following assessment surveys your beliefs and values about life and people. • Instructions: You will agree with some of the statements and disagree with others. In some cases, you may find making a decision difficult, but you should force a choice. Scale II measures an achievement versus experience orientation. • High scorers value the constructive use of time and accomplishing goals. • Low scorers believe in living for the moment. • They tend to be spontaneous and are less inclined to make long-term plans. • The average score on this scale is 11.   13. Scale III shows detachment versus involvement. • The high scorer avoids emotional risk.
