Grievance Redressal Mechanism • A grievance redressal forum is constituted at District level in the office of the Assistant Director of Education District Panchayat Daman and the office of the Education officer Diu. Schools are instructed to contact the ADE/EO and ADEI for redressal of grievances. Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India

  24. Evaluation Studies Food and Nutrition Board, Silvassa inspected the schools in Daman and the major findings as below: • Hot cooked meal served regularly. • Nutritional value was as per the norms. • Menu is as per the children’s liking. • Storage of foodgrains & vegetables etc., cooking and serving are done in hygienic conditions.

Proposal for Construction of Kitchen-cum-Store • 4 aided schools have their own kitchens and 1 school is functional in rented building. • Hence proposal for 6 kitchen cum Store. • PAB-MDM has approved 6 kitchen cum store during 2010-11, however fund could not be released due to pausity of funds.
