(11.4.1) Çré Drumila explains the various transcendental characteristics of each of the Lord’s incarnations in the past, present and the future (11.4.2-23) • The Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Hari, has innumerable transcendental qualities, which are beyond anyone’s capacity to count. • For the purpose of cosmic manifestation  Three puruña incarnations: Käranadakaçäyi-, or Mahä-Viñëu, Garbhodakaçäyi-, and Kçirodakaçäyi-Viñëu (Contd)

Q7 Contd • By His external energy, the Lord creates in the mode of passion, protects in the mode of goodness, and annihilates in the mode of ignorance thru His quality expansions of Lord Brahmä, Viñëu,Çiva, respectively. • As Nara-Näräyaëa , the greatest of the sages, He preached by His own practical example in the opulence of renunciation the science of devotional service, or naiñkarmyam • When Indra sent Kandarpa or Cupid in the company of beautiful women to try enticing Nara-Näräyaëa Åñi in Badrikaçrama, the Lord created & offered to take with him even more beautiful, Urvaçi Apsarä.   4. Before Cupid, the all-powerful Lord Nara-NäräyaëaÅñi suddenly manifested many women who were astonishingly gorgeous, decorated with fine clothes and ornaments, and all faithfully serving Him (11.4.12)

  5. Desiring to bestow His mercy upon the saintly MärkaëdayaÅñi, the Supreme Pesonality of Godhead appeared before the sage in the form of Nara-NäräyaëaÅñi (12.2.3)

Q7 Contd • Gave spiritual instructions in the forms of Hamsa, Dattätreya, the 4 Kumäras, and Åñabhadeva. • As Hayagréva, He killed the demon Madhu and saved all the Vedas. • In the fish incarnation, the Lord protected both the earth and Satyavrata Manu. • As Lord Varäha, or Boar, He delivered the earth and killed Hiraëyäkña. • In that of Kurma, or Tortoise, He carried Mandara Mountain upon His back. • As Lord Hari, He liberated the King of the elephants, Gajendra. Q7 Contd • The Lord delivered the Välakhilyas, who had been trapped in the water in a cow’s hoof print. • He delivered Indra from the sinful reaction for murdering a brähmaëa. • He delivered the wives of the demigods from imprisonment of the demons. • As Lord Nrsimhadeva, He killed Haraëyakaçipu. • In the reign of each Manu He kills the demons, fulfills the needs of the demigods, and protects all the planetary systems. Q7 Contd • As Vämandeva, the dwarf brähmaëa boy, He cheated Bali; as Parañuräma, He rid the earth of kñatriyas 21x; and as Lord Räma, He brought the ocean under submission and killed Rävaëa. • Appearing into the Yadu dynasty as Krsna, He removed the burden of the earth. • As Buddha, by His argumentative preaching in defiance of the Vedas He bewildered the demons who were unqualified to perform sacrifices. • At the end of Kali-yuga, He will destroy the çudra kings in the form of Kalki.

(11.5.1) Çré Camasa answers (11.5.2-18) • First, He describes the non-devotees as those who are inimical to the worship of Lord Hari, who are unable to control their own senses, and who are not peaceful. • Their destination is simply falling down into hellish life.

Who are those non-devotees and the reasons why they fall down? • From the face, arms, thighs and feet of the primeval Lord Viñëu are born (corresponding and in order of the modes of goodness, passion and ignorance), the four varëas and four äçramas, the varëäçrama system originate. • Among these classes, the women and çudras, who generally have no opportunity with the hearing and chanting of the Vedas chanting, are on account of their ignorance specially deserve the mercy of great souls. The non-devotees…(Contd) • However, it is the members of the upper 3 classes, who despite their privilege of becoming fit for the Lord’s mercy by 2nd birth thru Vedic initiation, are nevertheless confused by concocted interpretations of the Vedas. • As a result of presuming themselves of great scholars worship demigods because of their greed for fruitive desires and ridicule the devotees of the Lord. • They are excessively attached to family life, material opulence and pleasure, devoid of real discrimination and intelligence, and always act on the mental platform, which is against the best advice of the scriptures. • They engage in animal slaughter because of their propensity for meat eating. Thereby they also attack the Lord in the form of the Supersoul who reside in every living being’s heart.
