Aim of the project • Enhancing knowledge, awareness and critical thinking, especially among the youth, on the nature of radicalization leading to terrorism • Development of de-radicalization programmes • Creating specific networks to support the work • Empower victims of terrorism to develop positive counter narratives NAVT Conference 5th November 2012 The Hague

Tasks and deliverables • To create a network of networks • Expand the network of victims of terrorism European wide • Network of (former) terrorists • Network schools, social work, mental health organizations, rehabilitation and welfare • Network of police, intelligence, justice, prison • Network of journalists, communication experts • Development of an overview of existing methods, approaches and instruments for screening, recognizing signals for radicalization and advice for rehabilitation • Development of guidelines for journalists and policymakers • Development of educational material for schools NAVT Conference 5th November 2012 The Hague
