Venice is well know for its architecture, gondola rides and the rivers that link the city together, in Elizabethan times it was the las Vegas of today with gamberling, theatre and many people visited there , I think Shakespeare used this setting as it was a well known place at the time where many people went to trade goods and it showed a side of realness to the people of England at this time. Venice is a city in north-eastern Italy sited on a group of 118 small islands separated by canals and linked by bridges. It is located in the marshy Venetian Lagoon which stretches along the shoreline, between the mouths of the Po and the Piave Rivers.
