Update from 00 to 02-Carriers’ activities • New author (Juan Giminez from Telefonica) is added • Hundreds of thousands of MPLS-TP based PTN nodes are being deployed in countries such as Korea, China, Japan, India, Italy, etc. • Draft-bhh based OAM is approved as CCSA standard and it is the de facto standard • CMCC • 330,000 PTN nodes in CMCC will run draft- bhh only. • CT • PTN network (support draft-bhh) with 2200 nodes has been built in 2 provinces in 2010 and 2 commercial trial PTN networks have been built in 2011. • CU • China Unicom has started to build PTN commercial trail (support draft-bhh) networks in more than 10 cities. • TI • finalized a tender for acquiring PTN equipment and is going to deploy them in the second half of 2011 in its metro aggregation networks.

  5. Next step-Proposal • Progress of an essential MPLS-TP OAM solution set to meet the urgent and increasing requirements of PTN applications for the metro packet transport network. • adopt draft-tsb-mpls-tp-ach-ptn by IETF • Adopt draft-fang-mpls-tp-oam-considerations as a work group document
