  3. SUMMARY As of April 8, 2014, Microsoft has discontinued support for "Windows XP" so here is a comparison between "Windows 7", "Windows 8", and "Windows 8.1" to help you select between them. 3

  28. HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS (continued) Computers with Intel "Pentium 4" processors have had exceptionally durable life spans. They were sold from 2000 to 2008 and many of them are still alive and well. Most of them were sold with "Windows XP" installed. 28
