  1. Interview Questions to Ask When Choosing a Personal Trainer

  2. Personal Trainers • Personal trainers should be able to help you achieve your fitness goals. Otherwise, you need to rethink your choice of a trainer. There are many ways to find a trainer that will work with you from the start of your fitness journey. • You can visit a local fitness center or find companies that specialize in personal training. You can also ask for recommendations from people you know.

  3. Perform a Background Check • Whichever route you choose to take, don't forget to conduct an interview with the trainer. For a start, perform a background check and see about the trainer's credentials in the field of fitness or exercise. • Always remember that you are looking for someone that will support, motivate, and inspire you as you meet your fitness goals.

  4. Treat the interview like any other job interview. Here are questions to include in your checklist:

  5. Do you have Clients I can Talk to? • It can be their previous or existing clients. If the personal trainer is proud and confident of the work they do, they won't hesitate to share a list of references with you. • While their company website or colleagues already say positive things about their work, it is still different if you will be able to gather information straight from their clients.

  6. What Packages do you Offer? • The number of sessions you will be taking depends on your final choice. Consider, though, that you may be able to save more if you will sign up for more training sessions. As for the cost, you can always discuss this with the trainer. • Ask them if you are expected to pay in full or if they allow installments. Check your finances too. Compare costs between personal trainers and consider that as you decide which candidate to hire.

  7. How do you Deal with Special Conditions? • If you have special requirements, it's good to talk about this with the personal trainer early on. Finding a trainer that has experience working with students with special needs will make the process easier for you. • You know that your trainer will only devise and recommend a training program that matches your medical condition. And that your limitations won't have to get in the way of you attaining a healthier, fit body.

  8. What are Your Work Hours? • Ask the personal trainer what their schedule is like. You should not be the one adjusting to the work hours of the trainer. If your schedules don't meet, it's best to find another even if the trainer seems great. • For you to be able to commit to your training sessions, the schedule should work for you. If it doesn't, it will be harder for you to keep up with your program.

  9. Check These Out! • Physical trainers have different styles and personalities. Choose one that matches yours. Going for a healthier body will be more manageable if you will partner with someone that understands your specific needs and always listens to your concerns. • Brought to you OneUp Fitness, they provides personal training at its finest. We can help you get fit despite your busy schedules. For more info on personal trainers Bedford, check out: https://Oneupfitness.ca
