  2. Stay Fit While Staying at Home • With or without the pandemic, good health matters. Staying at home can mean skipping the gym as well as your usual outdoor running, walking, or cycling routine. • Social distancing and stay-at-home orders can also leave you no choice but to self-isolate. • But doing your part to help reduce the transmission of diseases doesn't mean you can't exercise. 

  3. Here are some Simple Ways on How You Can Stay Fit While Staying at Home:

  4. Set A Schedule • It can be more challenging to workout at home as there are several distractions. Still, try your best to maintain a routine. • Choose a specific location in the house where you can work out and establish a schedule for it. Let everyone in the household know you need some me-time so you can focus on your exercises. • Prepare all items you'll need and keep them close by so you no longer have to leave your designated workout area.

  5. Join Virtual Classes • Check out fitness classes or connect with a personal trainer online. This might help you become more involved in your daily exercises. • You can choose from a variety of classes and even try learning a new skill. On the other hand, you can discuss your fitness goals and health concerns with a personal trainer and gather recommendations on the best workout routine. • Seeking support and guidance from experts will help ensure you're spending time on the right exercises and aren't straining yourself in the process.

  6. Do Some Stretching • Even when you have to sit in front of the computer for consecutive hours, still try to squeeze in some stretching. Work while standing, if possible, to help with your posture. • If you can't, make it a habit to do basic arm or leg exercises while sitting. If you have to take a phone call, do it while walking around the house. • Get your own drink (most preferably water) so you'll have an excuse to get up from your desk and walk some more.

Pick a time and location where there are fewer people. • Volunteer to run some errands for more opportunities to walk outdoors. Be sure to still practice social distancing and wear your mask when needed. • And don't forget to wash up and sanitize your belongings once you arrive back home.

  8. Keep Track Of Your Diet • You don’t have to let go of your favorite desserts altogether. But do your best to maintain a healthy and balanced diet still. • Avoid constantly snacking and take sweets during mealtime. • Eat more fruits and vegetables, and minimize intake of processed foods.
