Well/Good. NOTE: These are both dead words! Good is an adjective. Therefore, it can never modify a verb. Hamilton is a good dog. Well is an adverb (unless it describes health, in which case it’s an adjective) and should therefore modify verbs, adjectives, or other adverbs.
