  6. Events Committee Update • First networking event held September 23rd at Go Art! Cultural Center in Batavia - three hour after-work event - 10 attended - surveyed attendees and non-attendees • Attendees positive about event, with food, door prizes and overall event rating high • Networking opportunity seen as top benefit; low turnout top detraction

  7. Events Committee Update • Non-attendees did not attend due to home commitments, location and time • Respondents more would likely attend the next event than not • Preference not to have central location • Suggestion to tie networking in with quarterly meetings

  8. Events Committee Update • WorldatWork certification course C4 being held in Niagara Falls in early November; 13 people signed up • Volunteers needed as on-site representative the morning and/or afternoon of November 2nd or 3rd or morning of November 4th

Events Committee Update • WorldatWork allowing us to offer two additional courses in 2010; survey identified top choices as: C12 Improving Performance with Variable Pay T4 Strategic Communication in Total Rewards C17 Market Pricing – Conducting a Competitive Pay Analysis T2 Accounting and Finance for Human Resources C1 Regulatory Environments for Compensation Programs Sales Compensation Design-Developing Next Year’s Plans (1 day) • January meeting will be a webinar • Buffalo location needed for April meeting

  11. Membership/Treasury Committee Update • Membership Statistics - Currently 100 members, representing 56 companies • Membership Database - We have been updating your information on our internal UTRA database (name, job title, company name, address, phone number and e-mail address)

Membership/Treasury Committee Update • WorldatWork Membership Management Program: • Web-enabled tool to manage data, with ability to obtain real-time membership stats, create mailing labels, and renew or add members • Members will be able to access online membership directory, update their personalized profile and network with other members

  13. Membership/Treasury Committee Update • Membership fees will be finalized and presented soon. • Types of memberships will include regular annual and student annual.

Membership/Treasury Committee Update • Treasury Statistics: • EIN number applied for and pending; soliciting legal counsel • $340.00 income 7/30/09 UTRA meeting (34 attendees, $10 meeting fee) • $300.00 income 9/23/09 UTRA networking event • (16 committed, $20 fee; pending one payment) • Expenses include gift cards for guest speakers, supplies, down payment for sponsored course.

  16. Web Design/Communications Committee Update General Communications: • Developed materials to advertise the C4 course to UTRA members and interested external groups • Created on-line surveys to determine members course/learning preferences for 2010 and assess effectiveness of general meetings

  17. Web Design/Communications Committee Update Website: • Continue to expand type of information on website - Presentation materials from last meeting - Highlights/photos from meetings and events - Job postings - Education opportunities
