WELCOME • Welcome to our Virtual Town Hall Meeting that is scheduled today from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM. • Today we will have Announcements and Updates to Policy Changes to the State Emergency Telephone Number Account that includes stakeholder’s questions. • Our objective today is to share through this Virtual Town Hall Meeting announcements and updates to the 9-1-1 Proposed Policy and Practice Changes, effective dates, implementation, and to reach out to our stakeholders and ask for input related to the updates.

  3. ANNOUNCEMENTS • Interim CA 9-1-1 Division Deputy Director • Transition to the California Emergency Management Agency (CalEMA) • CA 9-1-1 Education and Awareness Program • New State Contract for statewide Foreign Language Emergency Interpretation Services

  4. MEETING AGENDA • Updates to Policy Changes as a result of the 4/17/2013 State 9-1-1 Advisory Board Meeting. • Timeline–9-1-1 Proposed Policy and Practice Changes • ** Throughout the Town Hall Meeting we will respond to questions previously submitted by stakeholders as well as respond to participants questions in real-time, as time allows.

  5. INTRODUCTIONS With me today is: • William (Bill) Anderson, Interim Deputy Director of the CA 9-1-1 Division; • Monica McGrath, Manager of the Business Management Section of the CA 9-1-1 Division; and, • Christine Lally, Assistant Secretary, Communications and Legislation, CA Technology Agency

UPDATES TO POLICY CHANGES • Presented to and voted on by the State 9-1-1 Advisory Board at April 17, 2013 Quarterly Meeting • Results of the input received from stakeholders were grouped into three categories: • Move forward with changes – identify effective dates and recommended action • Move forward with change after a Transition Plan has been developed • Requires further review by a Work Group
