  1. A Wrinkle In Time By: Alyssa Lezcano

  2. Meg Changes….. In the beginning…………… Meg was being aggressive,” At this she’d thrown the books on the side of the road and tackled him”(L’Engle 6), and didn’t want to be the person that some people wanted her to. She felt alone, and missed her father very much. “Meg remembered it very clearly because it was shortly before it was shortly before he went away”(L’Engle 10).

  3. In The Middle…. Meg felt that if she found her father, everything would be fine, and she would be able to return to her normal life. She was quite impatient, “Meg was in such an agony of impatience that her voice grated irritably”(L’Engle 86). Meg didn’t believe that anything would go well, and that she didn’t have a chance against IT.

  4. In The End………. At first, she doesn’t really believe she can do anything, but then Meg suddenly gets a boost of courage and bravery, and believes that she can pull through if she believes in herself. “Meg could see nothing, but she felt her heart pounding with hope”(L’Engle 184). When she receives the love of others, she starts to believe in herself more, prevails against IT, and saves Charles Wallace. In doing this, she gained more confidence and feels better about herself.”That it has to be me. It can’t be anyone else”(L’Engle 187). Meg’s change in character is also a way to prove the theme of the novel.

  5. The Theme Of The Novel…… Good vs. Evil • “ We know that it’s evil”(L’Engle 85). • “IttissEevill. Ittiss thee Ppowers of Ddarrkknesss”(L’Engle 85). • “Wee wwillcconnttinnuettoffightt”(L’Engle 85). The first two quotes show that the evil exists, and it has formed its own side in the battle. The last quote shows that good is ready to prevail, and ready to go to battle for all that it stands for. All of these quotes are proof that both sides of the battle are ready to stand up for their beliefs. I also think that when they talked about the fighters, they were also talking about good people who led the way into battle.

  6. A Setting……

  7. Some Text Evidence….. My setting was the Mrs. W’s house. It was described as….. • ”A board was nailed across the front door, but Charles Wallace led the way around to the back. The door there seemed to be nailed shut too, but Charles Wallace knocked, and the door swung slowly outward, creaking on rusty hinges. Up in one of the elms an old black crow gave its raucous cry, and a woodpecker went into a wild rat-a-tat-tat. A large gray rat scuttled around the corner”(L’Engle 35). I feel that my representation shows these things that the novel has described in this particular quote.

  8. More Text Evidence….. “In case we need ghosts, of course”(L’Engle 37). I added the ghosts in my setting picture to represent this quote from the novel.

  9. A Fighter…… Jesus Facts: • Jesus is an idol in Christian religions • He is the son of God • People believe that he is the one who saves us from our sins • He is written about in the bible • He died on a cross • He was born on Christmas

  10. Why This Fighter…. Madeline L’Engle chose Jesus to be a fighter, because he went through the darkness, and people believe that he brought life or light back to earth with his doings. The novel also described him as one of the people who had been “lights for us to see by”(L’Engle 86), or someone who led the way into battle for good.
