  1. Ruins • It's situated to the west-north of Syria. Because of its place, it joins between the coastal and internal areas, besides it's the gate of the country to Europe through Bab Alhawa.There are many ruins in Idleb . They are in different sites:

  2. * Important Sites Ebla ( Tel Mardikn-Idleb ): This ‘ Tel is 25 km south-east of Idleb . It is the site of important and recent archaeological discoveries . Excavations in the ‘ Tel’have revealed a very old Syrian civilization , that of Ebla , which flourished in the 3 rd and 2 nd millenniums B.C .In the palace of this great kingdom , a library containing more than 17,000 clay tablets was uncovered . These tablets are the earliest written documents in Syria .

  3. Bab Alhawa:It's the main gate for the tourists who are coming from Turkey on the old Roman road which is 1.2 km and goes back , to the 2nd century A.D. There is, also, a centre for touristic information to serve the tourists and guide them.

  4. Albara:It's an important archaeological and historical city and 35 km far to the south of Idleb. It's distinguished by its churches , archaeological buildings, pyramidal tombs and houses.

  5. The church of Qalb Lawzi: This is 65 km west of Aleppo . It dates back to the 6th century, and is a masterpiece of Syrian Byzantine art .
