TE-25 Group 1 Planning Considerations MONUSCO Intervention Brigade 1 • Mission: Plan re-organization and redeployment of the UN Intervention Brigade • MYS-led Brigade, MYS Brigade Commander • Use existing MONUSCO force assets (see MONUSCO Map) • This Planning group does NOT include police participants • Brigade Headquarters in Goma DRC • Short mission time constraints • Be-Prepared-to-Execute Mission: • COA due 20 June 2014 • Initial operational capability 1 September 2014 • Fully operational by 1 November 2014 • 6 month mandate • MONUSCO Attack helo assets available on-call • Use existing MONUSCO ROE • Brief Senior Officials on COA on 20 June 2014.

TE-25 Group 2 Planning Considerations MONUSCO Intervention Brigade 2 • Mission: UN Intervention Brigade • CAN-led Brigade, CAN Brigade Commander • Use existing MONUSCO force assets (see MONUSCO Map) • This Planning group does INCLUDE police participants • Brigade Headquarters in Kinshasa DRC • Be-Prepared-to-Execute Mission: • COA due 20 June 2014 • Initial operational capability 1 September 2014 • Fully operational by 1 November 2014 • 1 year mandate • Use of existing MONUSCO attack helo assets requires FHQ authorization • Adjustments to existing MONUSCO ROE authorized with FHQ approval
