  1. The impact of innovation projects supported by EU Funds on the competitiveness of selected agricultural enterprises in region Nitra and Trnava(Research project) Ing.Ľubica Rumanovská,PhD.

Introduction • The research will be oriented on the identification of innovation factors and the evaluation of innovation contribution for improving the competitiveness of agricultural enterprises in region Nitra and Trnava • The output of the research will be the identification of concrete innovation projects, which do have the highest contribution on the competitiveness of agricultural enterprises, which in indirect consequence does have positive impact on rural economy and quality of life in rural areas.

  3. The scientific goal • the analysis of innovation projects supported by EU Funds oriented on agriculture and rural development

  4. Research partial goals: • to evaluate the distribution and the intensity of financial support expend from the Fund EAGGF from the innovation support view during the years 2004 – 2006 (Sectoral operational programme - priority 1) • To evaluate the distribution and the intensity of financial support expend from the Fund EFRD from the innovation support view during the years 2007 – 2010 realized in the frame of Rural development Programme for SR 2007 - 2013, axis 1

  5. to compare the intensity of expended financial aid in years 2004-2006 with the intensity of expended financial aid in years 2007-2010 • to evaluate the competitiveness of agricultural sector in SR based on selected agricultural enterprises in region Nitra nd Trnava • to classify the selected enterprises into groups with different competitiveness level

  6. to determine the factors - indicators, which do have statistically important impact on competitiveness of agriculture and identify the impact extensity • to evaluate the overall impact of innovations realized in selected agricultural enterprises and to evaluate their indirect impact on the quality of life in rural areas

  7. The expected contribution of the project: • is the identification of innovation projects supported by EU Funds in selected agricultural subjects in agriculture • evaluation of their impact on competitiveness of agricultural enterprises • The contribution of submitted project will also consist in real evaluation of EU financial support on projects, which de facto are real innovation for agricultural enterprises • The contribution will also be proved in identification of concrete innovation projects, which do have the highest impact on competitiveness of agricultural enterprises and determination of their subsequent impact on life quality in rural areas if region Nitra and Trnava
