  2. The prefix syn- comes from a Greek word and means “with” or “together.” The suffix –ize creates a verb form. If two people synchronize their watches, what are they doing? • cause to occur at unrelated times • to cause to indicate the same time, as one timepiece with another • Separate and isolated times
