  1. Popsicle the Republic of Mordovia, Saransk, "Lyceum №7“, Kildyushova Darya, 10L

  2. Popsicles are great in the summer, but did you know that they were invented in winter? And by an eleven-year-oldboy?

  3. A long time ago, a boy named Frank Epperson was sitting on his front porch stirring soda in New York. Suddenly, something distracted him, and he ran away, forgetting his soda. That night, the temperature reached an all-time low. Frank awoke in the morning to the world's favorite summer snack-the popsicle!

  4. It all started in 1905 when little Frank Epperson was having fun making some soda pop. It WAS winter, so, when he took it inside the next morning, it was frozen solid with the mixing stick sticking right out of the top. He picked it up, licked it, and it was surprisingly delicious.  • He called it an Epperson icicle. After awhile, he shortened the name to Epsicle. He sold the Epsicle for five cents each that summer. Later on, he changed the name again to popsicle, because he made it with soda POP mix.

  5. Now you can get popsicles in all sorts of flavors, shapes, and sizes. You can thank that eleven year old boy back in 1905 who made a mistake that worked!

  6. Related snacks • Creamsicle.Again on the same flat wooden stick, it is made as a single flat bar with a rounded end. The center is vanilla ice cream, covered by a layer of flavored ice. Creamsicle flavors include orange, blue raspberry, lime, grape and cherry. They are available in several varieties, including 100 Calorie Bars, Low Fat Bars, No Sugar Added Bars, and Sugar Free Bars. 50-50 bar is an alternative name for a Creamsicle. In the United States, August 14 has been named as National Creamsicle Day. • Fudgsicle. This frozen dessert is in a flat shape on a stick, but it is chocolate-lavoredwith a texture somewhat similar to ice cream.Thebox can be all milk chocolate or a mixed box with white chocolate, milk chocolate and dark chocolate. • Yosicles are new to the Popsicle line.
