    3. What is the TR JCC? The TR JCC is a student committee comprised of PSAE Juniors that applied for membership for this year’s committee in September of 2008. Membership Requirements: must be a PSAE Junior, have a GPA of 2.5 or higher, and have letters of recommendation from a school counselor and two former and/or current TR teachers.

    4. What Does the JCC Do? The JCC’s function is to be student leaders for the Class of 2010 as they prepare for the ACT and PSAE in April. JCC members begin preparing for testing day in September and work all the way through until they meet with the sophomores in May to help prepare them for their junior year.

    5. What Has the TR JCC Been Working on This Year? We meet weekly to review plans and prepare for upcoming events. We monitor the building’s daily countdown calendar to the day we take the PSAE. Create, Make and Post PSAE banners and posters throughout the building. Make the Thursday PSAE Announcements each week. Hold the weekly PSAE raffle where PSAE Juniors are nominated by their PSAE teachers for academic achievements and/or citizenship (3 winners each week).

    6. JCC…continued Fundraise for the PSAE Pep-Rally and Celebration in April. We have already run the concession stands at two Speech Tournaments and are selling candy bars during the months of February and March. Prepare and present at the PSAE Assemblies (January, February, March). Set-up/Design the PSAE Pep-Rally on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 –run the PSAE Jeopardy Game to review key points on the test the day before we take the exams.

    7. JCC…continued Set-up/Design the Junior Celebration held on Friday, April 24, 2009 in the TR Small Gym—we have a DJ, dancing, tons of food and raffle prizes. Decorate Lockers of PASE Juniors on April 20, 2009. In May, we will present a power-point presentation to the Class of 2011 describing for them what the JCC is and talk to them about preparing for being PSAE Juniors next year.
