LESSONS LEARNED higher model of integration of all sea oriented security capacities; inevitable role and importance of Naval capabilities and resources; rational approach at all levels, synergy through coordination; increment of Navy importance in peace time; high profile in public, fair public opinion. OPPORTUNITIES

LESSONS LEARNED specific philosophy, organization, RoE; specific education, training and equipment; better recognition in budgeting; competition for EU funds for nonmilitary equipment; maintaining Naval capabilities in future for traditional missions and operations (ballanced development of Naval capabilities). CHALLENGES

  12. LESSONS LEARNED to have multipurpose response interagency capacities in high readiness; predefined SOPs, ROEs, responsibilities, mutual relations; Naval capacities to cover critical gaps in security spectrum; constant improvement of regional cooperation. WAY AHEAD

  13. CONCLUSION • joining interagency security capacities to achieve acceptable/favourable and affordable security regime is national but also international imperative; • nontraditional Naval operations will increse in future in both mass and spectrum; • this represents an opportunity for Naval forces to increase it's role and importance, but... • Always keep in mind fundamental purpose of a Navy.
