  1. Directions to Complete the Four-Square Candidate Profile. • The Four-Square Candidate Profile is your opportunity to showcase your experience, talents and interests, and perhaps a bit of your personality to arts organizations seeking potential board members. Your information will be made accessible only upon request to arts clients vetted by ArtsWave. • There are five sections to complete: • 1. Your Name • 2. Professional Experience • Include your profession, current job title, or position; • Employer and Work Zip; Prior Volunteer/Board experience; and Residence Zip • 3. Established Skills • In this section, list the skills that you possess and are willing to offer to an arts organization. Because board work often affords opportunities to exercise under-utilized talents, it is not necessary to limit yourself here to only those skills used on the job, therefore think broadly and generously about your strengths. • 4. Arts Patronage and Contributions • You are probably a consumer of arts as a spectator, visitor, subscriber, or collector. And you may also be a contributor as an artist, craftsperson, student, or donor. List current and past areas of interest and personal arts involvement. • 5. Your Photo • Put your best face forward! This may be a simple headshot or it may feature you doing something you love to do. • A template and examples follow.
