  2. What isHerpes virus Unlike 20 years ago, we know a lot more about herpes today. We know enough to say that genital herpes isn’t the only of his kind that’s roaming around. In fact, there are over 80 different forms of the herpes virus and lucky for us humans, we can only contract 8 of them. Every year there are millions of Americans who will contract either genital or oral herpes.

  3. Detection And Prevention Of Oral Herpes Viral Infections Oral herpes is caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV-1). This virus causes painful blisters on the lips, around the mouth or inside the mouth or in the gums. Blisters appearing on your face or in the mouth can last long for a few days to many weeks

  4. Symptoms • Itching, burning and tingling feeling on the lips, around the mouth. If feeling the same for few days, then consult a doctor. It might be oralherpes viral infections. • Blisters on the face, on the lips or inside the mouth cause intense pain that makes eating and drinking very difficult. • Feel drowsy all the time and decrease in urination.

  5. Treatment • Low immune system is main cause for spreading this virus in the body. Increase the intake of vegetables and fruits in the diet. It makes antibodies of a person strong enough to resist the virus outbreak. To stop the intense pain and shorten the outbreak duration, its best to start antiviral treatmentprescribed by a doctor on the initial stages of an outbreak. • Anti viral creams can stop the activity of the virus for a few hours to a day and gives little relief.

  6. Treatment Continuous . . Once a person is infected by this virus, he can experience several outbreaks in a year. Usual reasons of recurring oral herpes are increase in stress level, frequent illness, and high intake of alcohol. Applying cold used tea bags hourly on the sores can give little relief, but dispose the tea bags after single use. Expose to sunlight can lead to cracks on the sores in the face, mouth or lips of infected persons and can activate the virus. Always keep the lips and face moist with sunscreen

  7. Tests On the basis of a blood report, if a doctor finds the symptoms, he can further prescribe more detailed tests to be sure followed by the culture analysis or detailed study of antibodies.

  8. Prevention • Always get enough sleep. • Take healthy diet consisting of fruits and vegetables to keep the immune system strong for the body to stay away from herpes viral infections. • Keep the skin moist especially lips by using sunscreen especially in direct sunlight. • Reduce the stress level and keep the intake of alcohol to the minimum.
