  1. Westmeath Sports • Partnership What We Do : Westmeath Sports Partnership is dedicated to the promotion and development of sport and physical activity in County Westmeath. How We Do It : We encourage and support participation in sport and physical activity by providing information, education and training and through activities and programmes. We develop, co-ordinate, and facilitate these directly or in partnership with other individuals, groups, clubs and partner agencies . We encourage groups to take responsibility for these programmes and activities so that they can be self-sustaining. Brief History Westmeath Sports Partnership was established in 2004 as a limited company and as of Jan 2019 we moved under Westmeath County Council. WSP is principally funded by Sport Ireland .   3. Club Grants 2019 - WSP • Fund of €15,000 : Opening in August 2019 • Who Can Apply ? Open to Sports and Physical Activity Clubs • What will be funded ? Proposals with a positive impact on participation levels • Criteria : Must be registered with National Governing Body & PPN • Award : Average grant €450

  4. National Sports Capital Funding • Allocations announced in 2019 – no call for new applications to date • Club/Org Must register with OSCAR ( online application portal) to be eligible and receive notifications • https://www.sportscapitalprogramme.ie/ • Must have Tax Registration Number (TRN) from Revenue Office • Application is an online process • Funding includes : pitches, buildings, lighting, non-personal equipment of a sporting nature. • WSP can assist with the application process Sports Capital enquiries: (+353 64) 6627301  Galway, Louth and Westmeath OSCAR - https://www.sportscapitalprogramme.ie/
