  2. INTRODUCTION Throughout my life "THE CHURCH" (God's Family) has meant a lot to me. Manyfailed to see the good thatthe church has to offer!

  3. Today let's LOOK BEYOND... the warts, the problems, and beyond the frustrations. See the church in the way that God sees the Church!

  4. When we start to truly and sincerely “LOVE THE CHURCH” it CHANGES .... the way we interact within the church, the way we participate; our motives, and our priorities.

  5. MAIN POINTS 1. We Love The Church Because "CHRIST LOVES THE CHURCH"

  6. Ephesians 5:25.... “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.” (NIV) One of the reasons why “we love the church” is because Christ demonstrated that “He loved the church.”

  7. John 13:34,35.... “ (v.34) A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. (v.35) By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (NIV)

  8. His love is far reaching …. it reaches to people that we may not be comfortable loving. His love is deep …. it is UNCONDITIONAL and SACRIFICIAL.

  9. Jesus demonstrated this "LOVE"! JESUS.... A) GAVE HIMSELF UP for the Church Ephesians 5:25 B)TAKES CARE OF the Church Ephesians 5:29

  10. JESUS.... C) HURTS when the Church hurts Acts 9:3-5 D) Is the HEAD of the Church Colossians 1:18.... “And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.” (NIV)

  11. 2. We Love The Church Because "THE CHURCH IS GOD'S FAMILY"

  12. The CHURCH should guard each other because we are a family!

  13. Ephesians 3:14,15.... “(v.14) For this reason I kneel before the Father, (v.15) from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name.” (NIV)

  14. As GOD'S CHILDREN, we have been washed in the BLOOD OF JESUS and made a part of "GOD'S FAMILY."

  15. Being a part of a GOOD FAMILY is something everyone can value and treasure. THE CHURCH is not perfect!

  16. 3. We Love The Church Because Of The "STRONG RELATIONSHIP"

  17. The CHURCH, unlike anything else in the whole world, SPECIAL RELATIONSHIPS can be formed!

  18. You cannot find friends in the world that will.… • Care about your soul. • Pray for you. • Desire you to be a better person. • Encourage you when you are down.

  19. You cannot find friends in the world that will.… • Love you unconditionally. • Forgive you when you mess up or fail. • Care about where you spend eternity.

  20. As Christians when we are ROOTED TOGETHER IN CHRIST .... we are able to withstand a lot of difficulties because we are connected together.

  21. 1 John 1:7.... “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.”(NIV)

  22. What is better than to have deep and strong relationships with people that share the same faith and have the same values that we do!

  23. Proverbs 13:20.... “He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm.” (NIV) Proverbs 27:17.... “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” (NIV)

  24. It is important for us to make wise decisions concerning our friends.

  25. 4. We Love The Church Because Of "HER IMPACT ON THE COMMUNITY"

  26. THE CHURCH has greatly IMPACTED THE WORLD in which we live in.

  27. A) The Church Has Been A "CONSCIENCE" In The Society B) The Church Has "SHOWN LOVE AND COMPASSION" to The Unlovable

  28. C) The Church Has "INFLUENCED" Lives Acts 19:23-27 2 Corinthians 5:17.... “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!”(NIV)

  29. We should LOVE the church! Let's pray!
