  1. What Is CPC Training And Why It Is Necessary

  2. HGV drivers are those who drive heavy vehicle filled with goods and carry it from one destination to other. But before they start driving it is crucial to go through some training, which will make them a reliable driver on road. All the lorry and HGV drivers who carry over 3.5 tonnes of goods with nine or more seats will mandatorily take the 35 hours of training. If you are a lorry driver planning to do the CPC course, you can either opt for training which is an Online Driver CPC course or you can go offline as well. However, make sure whatever you choose, you must have chosen the well-known and reliable school in the UK. Many schools are offering the services of CPC courses, but you need to pick the best one. The lorry driver will have to possess the qualifications of theory and practical, which should be maintained for around 35 hours.

  3. What is the reason behind the 35 hours training? The HGV driving is a complex job, and keeping this in mind, the authorities have made it mandatory to complete the 35 hours of the CPC course. The only reason behind this course and training is that it will help the driver to sharpen their skills and become a safe driver. This course is an opportunity for the drivers to improve their driving skills as much as possible. These drivers will need to freshen up their knowledge, and every five years they must focus on various knowledgeable topics and training to keep the discipline alive throughout their career. What is the importance of CPC driving rules to a driver? Driver and vehicle standard agency (DVSA) will closely monitor that the training is taken properly and the 35 hours are maintained during the course. If the training is continued unnecessarily at any point, the driver may get disqualified and suspended from the job as well. Thus, it becomes vital to follow the rules and regulations of the CPC course.

  4. What are the different modules in this course? Basically, the course is divided into four parts. These parts will give theoretical as well as practical knowledge to the driver. The other two parts of this course are only necessary if the driver wants to drive buses, coaches, and any other vehicle. Here, the driver gets a chance to choose what he wants and what is feasible for him. Module 1: It is a multiple-choice examination as well as a hazard observation test. The test has 100 questions which take about 2 hours to complete the course, and the hazard perception test consists of 19 videos, and the 20 scores hazard. The driver will have to take both the test, and if they pass it in the span of two years, they will get a theory certificate. After the completion of Module 1, the driver will have to pass module 3 in the next two years, and after this period, if they fail to do so, then the driver will have to give module 1 again.

  5. Module 2: In this exam, there will be 7 case studies, and each case study will contain 7-8 multiple-choice questions. The case studies are upon the incidents that happen with driver in regular life, and once they pass this test, module 4 must be completed in the next two years. If not, then the driver will have to reappear for the same. Module 3 and 4: In module 3, the practical driving test will be taken by them. Later in module 4, the driver will be asked some questions and will have to perform certain operations to pass the whole test. CPC certificate is mandatory and for that HGVC is one of the best schools if you want to take rigorous training. Therefore, make sure you choose a well-grounded school and get the proper knowledge about HGV and lorry driving.
