  3. ST JUST IN BLOOM PRESENTATION 2013 • Our aim is to make St Just a much better place for residents and visitors to our town • We achieve this by working with community groups and developing our floral displays around the town

  4. ST JUST IN BLOOM PRESENTATION 2013 The groups we work with! • Schools enter the SW in Bloom painting competition. • Brambles who have developed floral displays. • St Just Primary School who grow vegetables are also in involved with Carn Bosavern Community Farm.

  5. ST JUST IN BLOOM PRESENTATION 2013 Cape Cornwall Comprehensive who; • Have floral displays around the school • Help us with the portfolio and garden competition leaflet • Go carol singing around St Just • Have allowed us to put up a polytunnel at the top of the school

  6. ST JUST IN BLOOM PRESENTATION 2013 LOCAL CHURCHES! • This year we entered the Christmas Tree display at the Methodist Chapel

  7. ST JUST IN BLOOM PRESENTATION 2013 LOCAL CHURCHES! • We also have a 3 tier planter in the church, which they look after and have planted daffodils and wild flowers there

  8. ST JUST IN BLOOM PRESENTATION 2013 Other community groups are:- British Legion we always attend the Remembrance Day Parade, they host our presentation evening and water the tubs outside their property.

  9. ST JUST IN BLOOM PRESENTATION 2013 Lafrowda Festival Committee! We have a stall at their May Day celebrations and they ensure the flags are up for judging day

  10. ST JUST IN BLOOM PRESENTATION 2013 Age UK! We have provided them with planters to improve their garden area at the back.

  11. ST JUST IN BLOOM PRESENTATION 2013 Garden competition! Open competition for everyone in the community and also groups.

  13. ST JUST IN BLOOM PRESENTATION 2013 Local artist Has painted the two murals for the enjoyment of all to our town. He has given his time free and we have provided the materials.

ST JUST IN BLOOM PRESENTATION 2013 Business involvement • Commercial Hotel who host today and put on refreshments after the carol singing • Co-op who have provided us with a grant of £735 towards the polytunnel project • Phil Wilkins & the Pat Hosken who make our garden leaflets available for the public. Phil also displays our cups.

  22. ST JUST IN BLOOM PRESENTATION 2013 NATIONAL BODIES National Trust who allowed us to put a new picnic bench at Carn Gloose and have worked on footpaths and in particular Japanese Knotweed in the area.

  23. ST JUST IN BLOOM PRESENTATION 2013 Finally a private individual who bought a field and wanted in planted in trees. Which we did in 2011 after getting the necessary permissions.
