  2. 5 Steps To Create A WordPress Event Management Website Managing events, whether a small wedding or a huge concert is a difficult task at the best of times. You need to inform interested people about the details of the event like its schedule and registration procedure. You also have to keep track of who all will be attending it. In case, you are hosting a large gathering like a concert which has a huge audience, then things become even more complicated. A large number of people will be looking for vital information like the venue, timings, ticket prices, etc. here we are discussing an easy way to create a WordPress event management website.

  3. Install An Event Manager Plugin WordPress is one of the most convenient platforms for building websites. It provides you with readymade themes and plugins which help in creating an interface without needing to input any code. Custom WordPress theme development has ensured that there are numerous templates that you can use to erect a framework of your website. Plugins, on the other hand, let users add new functionality to their websites. In this guide, we will create our event management website with the help of a plugin. The tool that we have chosen for our purpose is called WP Event Manager.

  4. Create The Page Setup Of Your Website On the next screen, you will see that there is the option of creating three pages namely, Post an Event, Event Dashboard, and Events. The shortcodes for each page is displayed in front of each item. The checkboxes are ticked by default and you only need to press the Create selected pages button to generate all the pages automatically.

  5. Configure The Settings Of The Plugin In this step of our process to create a WordPress event management website, we will configure the settings of the tool. In your dashboard, locate the Event Listings option, and then select Settings. On the new screen, you will find four tabs. The first one named General will open by default. Here you can enable Bootstrap for the frontend as well as the backend by ticking the relevant checkboxes. You can also enter the Google Maps API Key to add the map for the event’s location on your website.

  6. Add A New Event We will now see how a new event can be added through the plugin. Go to Event Listings > Add New in the menu. A new page will open showing the editor and some fields. You can enter the title of the event along with its description. Scroll down and provide other vital details like the venue, start and end time, registration deadline, ticket prices, etc. On the right-hand side, you can select the event category and type. Once you have entered all the details hit Publish to add the event to your interface.

  7. Manage Your Events Click on Event Listings in the dashboard menu and then choose All Events. You will see all the items listed here. You will see the type, category, end, and expiry days, etc. against each listing. You can delete an item by clicking on the trash icon against it and edit it by selecting the pencil icon.
