  14. REUSE WASTE

  15. RECYCLE

  16. 90% of what we throw in the bin can be recycled...

  17. That’s most of this...

  18. And all of this...

  19. EARTH WITHOUT FOREST AND TREE IS NOT A COUNTRY

  20. LETS PROTECT OUR FORESTS

  21. PROTECTING ENVIRONMENT STARTS WITH OFFECTION

  22. Be the change you want to see in the world...

  23. DON’T FORGET! WORLD IS BOTHLITTLE THAT CAN NOT TO BE POLLUTED AND BIG THAT CAN’T TO BE CLEANED

  24. WHAT WILL YOU DO? How Can I Help the Earth? Meram Ticaret Meslek Lisesi 2011 , Konya

  25. Impact on profit Impact on planet Impact on others Sustainability To meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. What shade of Green are you? Economic Environment Social

  26. The Hard Facts • Electricity production is the leading cause of industrial air pollution in the world, and is responsible for 40 percent of the nation's carbon emissions that contribute to global climate change. • Every Sunday, more than 500,000 trees are used to produce the 88% of newspapers that are never recycled. • Every year 45,000 tons of plastic waste are dumped into the world's oceans. Up to one million seabirds and one hundred thousand marine mammals are killed each year.

  27. The 4 R’s • We need to do something! • Every day, we need to remember and practice the 4 R’s: • Reduce • Reuse • Recycle • Renew • YOU can make a difference by doing your part

  28. Reduce: What Does That Mean? • Reduce is producing less waste • buy fewer products or • buying less wasteful products to conserve natural resources. • YOU can reduce by . . . • turning off the lights/video game/computer • reusing grocery bags • riding bikes, carpooling, using mass transportation • Don’t buy bottled water! • Turn off water when you brush

  29. Reuse: What Does That Mean? • Reuse means to use an object again or find new ways to use them. • Don’t just throw it away! • YOU can . . . • Use paper bags and plastic jugs again • Reuse plastic containers for leftovers • Bring a travel mug when you get a yummy drink • Use ‘trash’ to make beautiful art • What can you do with a paper towel roll • Donate your used clothes and toys – buy used too!

  30. Renew: What Does That Mean? • Renewal of resources includes replanting, reforesting, and composting. • Composting is when organic materials are broken down into smaller parts into the soil. • YOU can . . . • Plant a tree when one is cut down • Don’t throw away a peel, compost it! • Make a compost pile with your mom and dad • Buy products that promise to plant a tree for every item you buy

  31. Recycle: What Does That Mean? • Recycle means to turn old object into new objects. • Check out your local recycling plant • YOU can . . . • Make sure your parents have recycling bins at home • If you don’t have any, in most places they are free. Check out the link above! • Recycle everything you can at school and at home • Pick up recyclables you might find in your neighborhood • If your school doesn’t recycle, get a program started there

  32. Plastics & Paper Plastics • Not all plastics can be recycled. Check for the recycling sign at the bottom and check with your local recycling plant. • Europians throw away 25,000,000,000 Styrofoam coffee cups every year. • Recycle your yogurt, milk and juice containers! Paper • If all our newspaper was recycled, we could save about 250,000,000 trees each year! • Recycle your old school papers and food boxes!

  33. Aluminum & Glass Aluminum • Recycling one aluminum can saves enough energy to run a TV for three hours -- or the equivalent of a half a gallon of gasoline. • Recycle your pop cans and soup cans! Glass • The energy saved from recycling one glass bottle can run a 100-watt light bulb for four hours or a compact fluorescent bulb for 20 hours. • Recycle your spaghetti jars or glass coke bottles!

  34. FOR THE CLEAN WORLD

  35. CLUES OF GREEN LIFE!!!

  36. WHEN YOU DON’T USE THE TV, DVD PLAYER,MP3 PLAYER,AND COMPUTER,YOU SHOULD TURN OFF THIS ITEMS SO THAT YOU CAN PREVENT THE SPREAD OF CARBONDIOXIDE TO THE ENVIRONMENT.YOU DON’T FORGET SOME DEVICES SPEND ELECTRİCİTY EVEN IF THEY PULL IT OFF.YOU SHOULD PULL THE PLUGS. TURN OFF DEVICES AND PULL THE PLUGS

  37. TURN OFF THE LAMBS YOUR MOTHER SAID “YOU MUST TURN OFF THE LIGHTS BEFORE LEAVING THE ROOM”. THE ONLY AIM OF THİS APPLICATION IS NOT ONLY TO SAVE ELECTRICITY BUT ALSO REDUCING OF ENVIRONMENTAL EFFECTION OF USING ELECTRICITY IN THIS WAY USING OF ELECTRIC BULBS WHICH FORM MOUNTAINS OF GARBAGE IS REDUCED.

  38. A PERSON EXHOUSTS ONE OR TWO PLASTIC SACKS IN A DAY AND THESE SACKS ARE USED ONLY ONCE.AS THESE SACKS ARE NOT VANISHED IN NATURE, THEY LEAD IN IMPORTANT ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS. WHILE DOING SHOPPING CHOOSE NETTING OR THE SACKS THAT YOU CAN USE OVER AGAİN. USE THE SACKS OVER AGAIN

  39. DRY YOUR LOUNDRIES BY HANGING ON THE OPEN AIR AND WITH THE HELP OF WINDY AN SUNNY AIR IN STEAF OF DRYING MACHINES. IN THIS WAY YOU DON NOT FEEL SMELL OF DRYING MACHINES ON YOUR LOUNDRİES DRY LAUNDRIES AT THE OPEN AIR

  40. CLEANING MATERIALS USED IN THE HOUSES AND SKIN CARE PRODUCTIONS CANTAIN CHEMICAL ELEMENTS AND TOXINS THESE PRODUCTIONS THREAD BOTH YOU AND HEATH OF ENVIRONMENT. WHILE DOING CLEANING TEST THE GREE PRODUCTIONS AND READ THE LABELS OF PRODUCTIONS SURELY NANOMATIK USE THE ORGANIC PRODUCTIONS WHICH CAN BE SMASHED BIOLOGICALLY AND ENVIRONMENT FRİENDLY

  41. FIIL THE BOTTLES OF WATER OVER AGAIN %80 PERCENT OF MILLIONS OF PLASTIC BOTTLES OF WATER USED ONLY ONCE,CONTINVE TO FORM MOUNTAINS OF GARBAGE. DO NOT THROW THESE BOTTLES TO DO DUSTBIN AND USE THEM OVER AGAIN OR PREFER ALWAYS USING BOTTLE OF WATER MADE OF GLASS.

  42. REDUCES THE HEAT KEEP THE HEAT IN YOUR ATMOSFER AT THE LOWEST LEVEL AND BEFORE ENCREASING THE HEAT WEAR THICKER DRESSES. KEEP THE HEAT AT THE LOWEST LEVEL DURING THE NIGHT

  43. BE CONSCIOUS WHILE DOING SHOPPING,BEFORE BUYING SOMETHING THINK ABOUT YOUR ACCOLOGICAL OFFECTION AND TRY TO REDUCES IT. WHILE BUYING A PRODUCTION OR A SERVICE ASK THESE QUESTIONS TO YOURSELF;”DO I REALY NEED TO THIS PRODUCTION? WHERE THIS PRODUCTION COMES FROM? WHICH MATTERIALS IT IS MADE OF ? IS THİS PRODUCTİON USED OVER AGAIN OR CAN IT BE RECYCLED?”. THINK ABOUT WHILE DOING SHOPPING

  44. WHILE PRODUCING WASTE BE CONSCIOUS REDUCE BY THE AMOUNT OF YOUR WASTE ;BY THE LONG LIFE PRODUCTIONS THAT CAN USE LONG TIME FOR EXAMPLE BATTERIES WHICH CAN BE RECHARGED SHAVE BLADES WHOSE THE INNER PART OF CAN BE CHANGED.

  45. BUY LOCAL, ORGANIC AND GROWN AS ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLY FOODS. SO YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE TO INDEPENDENT LOCAL PRODUCTIONS ,STRENGHTEN LOCAL ECONOMY AND YOU CAN BUY CLEANED AND HEALTY PRODUCTIONS.AIM OF THIS TO DROP UP USING THE LESS SOURCE AS POSSIBLE FROM THE PRODUCING TO THE USİNG THOSE PRODUCTİONS. BY LOCAL PRODUCTİONS

  46. PART YOUR WASTES.FOR EXAMPLE AS CARDBOARDS,BOTTLES AND TİNS…. MANY FOUNDATIONS COLLECTS THESE RECYCLABLE MATERIALS SO AS TO USE IN SOME CHERITY AND SOCIAL PROJECTS. What Citizens Can Begin to Do Today • When asked what people could do to preserve and protect Turkey’s biodiversity, Scientistsoffers these four suggestions that apply to people in all countries: 1. Train and educate your children in every possible way to protect the environment. In order to do this, you need to set an example for children to follow. 2. Think of the long-term effects of any development, rather than short-term profits. Always consider future generations, your grandchildren, in thinking about the environment. 3. Vote for the people who are most likely to protect the environment.

  48. We love science and especially the topic about how we can make our world better. Everyday, we make an effort to reduce, reuse, renew, and recycle. We hope that you are as excited about it as weare. There is so much to learn about in our world, and working together we can make a difference for the better!
