  1. Installation of AquaSensor Systems Andreas Pelz, March 2011

  2. Technical Advices • Directions for the installation of several DataStick’s to one AV38: • All DataSticks have a default setting for the station number of 1! • Please connect at the early beginning one DataStick to the AV38 for setting the Station Number (DS) to a different one than ( 1) • Please use for this the menu function “Find DataStick” under the main menu “DataStick Comms” • Please follow the the steps mentioned on the next page

  3. Technical Advices • Directions for the installation of several DataStick’s to one AV38: • Go to „DataStick Comms“  press „Enter“ • Go to „Find DataSticks“  press „Enter“ • When AV38 found a DataStick  press „Enter“ – you can see the actual station number “( 1)” • Change the Station number with the up and down arrows to a number different to one and different to the settings for other DataSticks • Please shut off and on the AV38 after each setting of the station number • Please do so with all DataStick you want to connect to one AV38

  4. Technical Advices • AV38 shows „DataStick Absent“ • check all connections/ wires etc. • disconnect all sensors except one • if AV38 detects this sensor please check station number and change it to a different one (see before) • follow the advices from the first page and make the settings for the station number • please shut off and on the AV38 after each setting!

  5. Technical Advices • if AV38 does not detect the sensor take him out of the sample (basin/ pipe etc.) • check the display; if AV38 detects the sensor you maybe have a grounding issue • switch off the power; disconnect the grounding wire from the termination block and connect a new wire to this with an open end; connect this open end to a pipe/ basin etc. which has direct contact to the sample • put the sensor back into the sample – if AV38 shows a value - issue solved; • you can now connect the other sensors (if necessary) and make the final installation
