  1. SPANISH 8th grade Classes #1-5 – August- September 2013 Capítulo 1: Lectura 1 ● El cuento del gato With Señorita Hall

  2. Rules for class: During storytelling: ● Only Srta. Hall and the student actors must use complete sentences when speaking ● Every student will get the opportunity to be an actor sometime during every quarter, but you do not have to be an actor if you do not want to ● The rest of the class will say only the following things, but always in Spanish: ● Ahhhhhh! Ohhhhhhhhh! ● Sí! ● No! ●Obviamente (etc) ● A proper noun (like someone’s name or the name of a place) ● Or you can SHOW me that you do not understand (For this last one you can SHOW me by pounding your fist into your other hand) EVERY STUDENT IS EXPECTED TO ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE TO THE FULLEST EXTENT. DEMONSTRATE THIS BY: SITTING UPRIGHT, PAYING ATTENTION, RESPONDING TO ALL INFORMATION/QUESTIONS. YOU MAY NOT WRITE DURING THIS TIME, DO NOT TAKE NOTES…YOU ALREADY DID THAT EITHER THE NIGHT BEFORE OR DURING THE WARM-UP AT THE BEGINNING OF CLASS.

  3. Miss a day? Miss a day of class and chances are likely that you have missed a lot! Go to my wiki: http://senoritahall.cmswiki.wikispaces.net/ and view the date that you missed (make sure YOU know what date you were absent. You are responsible for all of the vocabulary that you missed. What is on the wiki? On my wiki you will find: - Class lesson plans – PowerPoint style (according to date) – THESE INCLUDE THE VOCABULARY - Lesson packets – You will receive ONE (AND ONLY ONE) copy in class (you may print another yourself) - Educreations – In depth grammar we are covering at that time…just incase you want to have more of an explanation - Videos – there maybe a video that you missed from class too…better check the PowerPoint! - Homework – the wiki page is updated daily with your homework. The most important is the vocabulary- make sure that you are prepared for class! If you do not have access to the Internet at home, please bring me a signed note with an explanation from your parent or guardian (either once if you do not have Internet at all or as necessary, if you temporarily lost service…this happens sometimes.)
