  1. ADAPT AIR CONCEPT • ADAPT is a Four Phased program based around the Crawl-Walk-Run concept of instruction. Curriculum start goal date: FY13 • Objective: Develop Partner Nation’s ability to conduct operations through technical expertise and instructor training through four phases of training over a period of 2 years. • End State Image: Partner Nation has core group of instructors trained by USAF members who can conduct their own training of their own forces without guidance from US Forces and who’s trained members can execute logistics operations. • Suggested Composition of Traveling Contact Team (TCT) over 4 phases of training: • 1x 21R3 Logistics Readiness Officer, • 2x 1A271 Loadmaster, • 1x 2T271 Air Transportation • Training is Tiered and in Phases II - IV completion of the previous phase is required to advance. • All involved members of the TCTs should be Subject Matter Experts with Instructor Experience (SME-IE). Academic Instructor qualification or better.

ADAPT AIR CONCEPT PHASE I: Capabilities Assessment • Objective: Assess the capabilities of the Partner Nation to more effectively tailor training. • Schedule*: • Day 1 (Sunday): Arrival and settle • Day 2 (Monday): State Dept Meetings/Briefings • Day 3 (Tuesday): Tour Facilities, establish POCs, informally execute PDSS checklist • Day 4 (Wednesday): Partner Nation Leadership Orientation. Deliver ADAPT AIR Concept Brief and workbooks their Soldiers and Airmen will have. • Day 5 (Thursday): Finalize training requirements, Develop Profiles, Provide NCO Development/Human Rights/Human Trafficking training required by AFRICOM • Day 6 (Friday): Building Partnerships • Day 7 (Saturday): Depart * NOTE THAT DAYS OF THE WEEK AND ORDER OF EVENTS ARE FLEXIBLE

ADAPT AIR CONCEPT PHASE II: Technical Instruction (14 Days) • Objective: Deliver technical training to selected and vetted members of Partner Nation to develop proficient and skilled Load Planners. • Equipment Prep Course & Airload Planning Course • Schedule*: • Day 1 (Sunday): Arrival and settle • Day 2 (Monday): State Dept Meetings/Briefings/Prep • Day 3 (Tuesday): Class Begins – Equipment Preparation Course (EPC) • Day 4 (Wednesday): Class continues – (EPC) • Day 5 (Thursday): Exam – (EPC) • Day 6 (Friday): Intro to Airload planning course (APC)/Class Begins • Day 7 (Sat): Building Partnerships * NOTE THAT DAYS OF THE WEEK ARE FLEXIBLE

ADAPT AIR CONCEPT PHASE III: Train the Trainer (21 Days) • Objective: Deliver Instructor Training to selected and vetted members of Partner Nation, who have completed Phase II, to develop skills necessary to instruct EPC/APC. • Schedule*: • Day 1 (Sunday): Arrival and settle • Day 2 (Monday): State Dept Meetings/Briefings/Prep • Day 3 (Tuesday): Instructor 101 – How to teach • Day 4 (Wednesday): Lessons Assignment & Demo • Day 5 (Thursday): Student Instructor Practice Group/ Practice Teaching • Day 6 (Friday): Partner Nation Course Transition/Personnalizing the Lessons • Develop alternate teaching methods dependent on PN supplies. (Blackboard & Chalk/ Whiteboard/Poster Paper) • Day 7 (Sat): Building Partnerships * NOTE THAT DAYS OF THE WEEK ARE FLEXIBLE

ADAPT AIR CONCEPT PHASE III: Train the Trainer • Schedule*: • Day 8 (Sun): Building Partnerships • Day 9 (Monday): Finalize Lessons • Day 10 (Tuesday): Podium Practice – (EPC) • Day 11 (Wednesday): Podium Practice – (EPC/APC) • Day 12 (Thursday): Podium Practice – (APC) • Day 13 (Friday): Presentation Prep - Feedback • Day 14 (Sat): Building Partnerships • Day 15 (Sun): Building Partnerships • Day 16 (Monday): Final Prep/Feedback • Day 17 (Tuesday): Evaluation of Instruction • Day 18 (Wednesday): Evaluation and Feedback • Day 19 (Thursday): Graduation • Day 20 (Friday): Phase IV preperation • Day 21 (Sat): Depart * NOTE THAT DAYS OF THE WEEK ARE FLEXIBLE

ADAPT AIR CONCEPT PHASE IV: Indigenous Training (21 Days) • Objective: Deliver refresher training to selected and vetted members of Partner Nation, who have completed Phase III, to develop skills necessary to instruct EPC/APC. • Schedule*: • Day 1 (Sunday): Arrival and settle • Day 2 (Monday): State Dept Meetings/Briefings/Prep • Day 3 (Tuesday): Refresher/Podium Time • Day 4 (Wednesday): Refresher/Podium Time • Day 5 (Thursday): Refresher/Podium Time • Day 6 (Friday): Refresher/Podium Time/Feedback • TRANSFER OF AUTHORITY • Day 7 (Sat): Building Partnerships * NOTE THAT DAYS OF THE WEEK ARE FLEXIBLE
