  2. Immigration means • The action of coming to live permanently in a non native country.

  3. The Chinese • The Chinese first came here in around when the gold rush was happening and by 1861 Melbourne’s population of Chinese were 7%.

  4. Afghanistan • The Afghanistan people arrived in the 1860’s and most of them were cameleers. They worked in most parts of transportation. In 1901 the population of them in Melbourne were just 8 males.

  5. Brazil • Brazilians came during 1871 and recorded 52 in 1891.

  6. Belgium • Most Belgium people came to Australia because of the gold rush.

  7. Canadians • The first Canadians did come come here by choice they were exiles transport during 1837. Most Canadians came because of the gold rush.

  8. Chile • The first Chile people came arrived in Sydney first but they were not ordinary people 1 was a former President trying to take power back over his country. Most Chile people came over because of the gold rush.

  9. Austria • Austrians came here because of the gold rush and these include Johann Joseph Eugen Von Guerard who became the first master of the school of painting.

  10. Cook Islands • They first appeared in 1976 and were able to start migrating when New Zealand gave them free access to New Zealand and then Australia.
