  2. 1. Executive Academy/ Executive Management Development Program • which will develop and enhance the capabilities of college and university presidents and senior administrators • pool of human resources • choosing administrators is highly politicized

  3. Required topics are: • trends and variations in higher education, • globalization in education, • paradigms, • public and private commodity, • leadership, • access and equity and capacity, • diversity, • quality assurance,

  4. Other topics may include: • organization management and development, • human resource management and development, • management information system, • financial management and control, • resource generation and entrepreneurial management, • corporatization and the • legal aspects of higher education

  5. Continuing Professional Education of Tertiary Education Teachers • A great teacher in every classroom is a long battle cry in our education system • It has remained to be an issue for continuing the fight for reforms • Need to do more to attract and retain teachers • To encourage their excellence and to ensure that all teachers are offering high quality teaching • Need to raise pay for teachers, especially in the schools and subjects where great teachers are in the shortest supply

  6. A continuing process for upgrading our education system • Need to provide opportunities to improve mentoring, professional development and new technology training for teachers • This poses for a challenge for the creation or passage of rigorous new incentives and tests for new teachers including new rewards system for teachers who go the extra mile

  7. CPE of teachers and faculty is a critical part of increasing accountability for Teacher Preparation Programs • Accountability systems for teacher preparation programs, both traditional and alternative, are critical to produce quality teachers for HE. • Push for nation-wide accountability, rigorous graduate performance criteria and effective assistance strategies for programs in need and continued research on how to make a teacher preparation programs more effective

  8. Policy Formulation - review the PSGs and CMOs • Journal/ Article about HE – focusing on topics learned in IFE 2020 or on HE concerns such as corporatization/ privatization
