(meaning they will be given high status) (Imam Muslim) • What are some extra words that are said in FajrAdhan? • Assalatukhayrunminnunnawm (Prayer is better than sleep). • These words are recited twice. • What should we do when we hear Adhan? • It is recommended that we should repeat the wordings of Adhan when we hear it and when the Muadhin says “Hayaa alas Salat and hayaalalfalaah”, we should say, LA HAWL WALA QUWATA ILLAH BILLAH. • What is the meaning of LA HAWL WALA QUWATA ILLAH BILLAH? • It means “There is no power and strength except Allah”. • What is the du’a that is recited after Adhan? • After hearing the adhan (prayer call), we say; • "AllahummaRabbahathihid-Daawatittammah, wassalatilQaimahatiMuhammadanal waseelatawalfadeelah, waib'ath-humaqamanmahmoodanallatheewa'ad-tah, innakalaatukhliful-me'aad." • And it means: • On the authority of Jabar bin Abdullah, may Allah be pleased with him, the Messenger of Allah, may Allah's peace be upon him, said, "Whoever says,'O Allah, Owner of this perfect call and Owner of this prayer to be performed, bestow upon Muhammad al waseelah (a station in Paradise) and al fadeelah (a rank above the rest of creation) and send him upon a raised platform which you have promised him. Verily, You never fail in Your Promise',he will have shafa'ati on the Day of Judgment".
