Ilias Atwani: An Introduction • In addition to being an exceptionally skilled mining engineering professional, Ilias Atwani is also a remarkably skilled photographer. • After attending the preparatory class for engineering school at the Institut Polytechnique privé de Casablanca, Ilias attended Laval University to complete his graduation in Mining and Mineral Engineering. • Ilias is currently working for an award-winning company and is extremely proud of his association.

Ilias on The Work Front • Ilias Atwani has experience working for a number of renowned multinational commodity trading and mining companies. • The company he is currently working for is known to dominate the landscape in the same way as the Inukshuk does. • He takes great pride in working with a company that combines authenticity and modernity and that he believes to be is going to be a symbol of pride, accomplishment, and commitment for years to come.

  4. Ilias and His Passion For Photography Ilias Atwani has won several much-acclaimed photography contests over the course of time. The most recent competitions he has secured first prize in are 20 Years of Engagement and PwC’s The Art of Mining. Winning The Art of Mining gave him an opportunity to have a personalized tour of two local Inuit villages – Salluit and Kangiqsujuaq.

  5. Outside of work, Ilias enjoys spending time traveling, trekking, and hiking with his friends. He is highly fascinated by the thought of exploring as many cultures and customs across the globe as he can. Ilias Atwani is known to have bilingual proficiency in English, French, and Arabic, and limited working proficiency in Spanish.
