  7. 法國號 • 音質豐滿，音色溫和,無論與木管或銅管演奏皆可合得來。長管傳送溫和低沉聲音，短管部分傳送高揚曲調，具有柔和明亮音色。右手通常置於喇叭口，控制音調和音色；如果右手向上插入喇叭口,就會產生細微刺耳聲音,所以演奏時很少用弱音器。現代管絃樂團中,法國號又名圓號是最美觀迷人的樂器之一也被認為是最難演奏的樂器。法國號屬於銅管樂器,音色溫暖柔和,它可同時吹奏出兩種號角的聲音所以又稱雙號。

  9. 定音鼓 • 管弦樂團的敲擊樂器中最威的是定音鼓。它的前身是古阿拉伯的罐鼓（naqara），17世紀傳入歐洲。定音鼓以強烈節奏有力的襯托著稱，通常使用兩個有槌頭的鼓棒敲擊，還不時與銅管樂器合奏，創造如雷嗚的效果，增加音樂的狂烈氣勢。
