  1. Oculus - What Could Be Better? Faster Cast Rate, Resistance and Teleport for Your Sorceress Brass instruments, in their simplest form, are simple tubes. At one end, the musician purrs his lips to produce a sound that leaves the instrument at the other end. Any Valve Index tube (even those for gardening, as demonstrated on YouTube) can produce wide intervals. These intervals are determined by the overtone series, which brass players generally call the partial series. To make the notes between the partial series sound, the musician must be able to change the length of the tube in the instrument. Some instruments, such as the trombone, have a movable slide, while others, such as euphoniums and horns, have valves that allow the length of the tube through which the air flows to be changed. A valve is a device on many instruments that diverts the airflow into a separate section of pipe before it returns to the main pipe. When depressed, this "extra" tube is used, increasing the length of the working tube and decreasing the pitch. On almost all modern horns, the valves work the same way: The second valve lowers the pitch by one semitone step, the first valve lowers the pitch by one whole step (two semitone steps), and the third valve lowers the pitch by one and a half steps (three semitone steps). The fourth valve lowers the pitch by two and a half steps (5 semitones).

  2. The most popular VR headsets (also known as HMD or Head Mounted Display) on the market are the Samsung Gear VR, the Oculus Rift, and the HTC Vive. The Samsung Gear VR was released in November 2015, the Oculus Rift in March 2016, followed closely by the HTC Vive the following month. The Oculus Rift is clearly the frontrunner in the high-end VR headset segment right now, followed by the HTC Vive. Both the Rift and Vive are light years ahead of the Gear VR, which is not in the high-end category. Palmer Luckey was a teenager who tinkered with HTC Vive as a hobby. In 2012, before he turned 21, he founded Oculus VR and launched his Kickstarter campaign for a VR headset. Within three days, it raised $1 million. Two years later, Facebook came along and bought out Oculus VR for $2 billion. The Oculus Rift is the preferred choice for serious VR enthusiasts. For the Rift, you'll need a powerful gaming PC for a great VR experience. The $599 price tag is a bit high, but it's worth it for the high-end performance and exceptional experience. The HTC Vive is the Steam VR headset developed in collaboration with Valve, the makers of the legendary Half Life game series. The Vive also requires a powerful gaming PC and has a similar resolution to the Rift. The HTC Vive scores with its Lighthouse spatial tracking, which lets you move around with the headset on for a more immersive experience. However, it costs $200 more than the Oculus Rift. On computers that don't meet the Rift and Vive's recommended specs, some Oculus Quest 2 games can still run. To get a good VR experience, expect to pay around $1,000 if you buy a new desktop PC, and perhaps a little less if you buy a headset and PC bundle.
