  2. Overview of Presentation • Review promotional/implementation activities during April and May • Show how OB landscape is a’changing in the right direction • Update on OB recommendation implementation from HCA

  3. Bree Promotional Activities Since March • HCA Managed Care Operations Meeting (Medicaid health plans) • Association of Washington Health Plans Board of Directors • Not yet scheduled - Local AWHONN chapter

  4. Post Bree OB Report National & Local Efforts

Bree OB Efforts • Bree OB subgroup convened to discuss re-opening Bree OB report to include OB COAP as a community standard • OB subgroup agreed OB COAP is an important program, and clinical Labor and Delivery data are needed to achieve Bree recommendations – but costs concerns and need more info OB COAP is best path forward Next steps – During summer convene a meeting with OB subgroup to further discuss issue

HCA Implementation Update HCA staff working on implementation of three Bree OB recommendations: • Promote widespread adoption of clinical data to capture labor and delivery practices • Add Bree goals to Medicaid Quality Incentive Program • Increase patient education (PEBB, Maternity Support Services)
