Houston Bernard - Interesting Facts About Country Music • Houston Bernard is the lead vocalist and guitarist in The Houston Bernard Band, who have been nominated for a number of award, including the Worcester Music Awards Video of the Year and Limelight Magazine’s Country Artist of the Year award. • Country music’s roots can be traced back to the folk songs that were played by immigrants in the Appalachian Mountains. These songs originally blended English ballads with traditional Irish and Scottish folk music, before eventually being infused with influences from gospel singing and the blues.

Houston Bernard - Society or Hillbilly Music • The sort name of Country occurred because of Senator Joe McCarthy's barbecuing of Weavers lead artist Pete Seegar's as far as anyone knows socialist leanings in 1952.
