  2. The Review Process Prior revisions to “Standards of Conduct” (policies) What is now the Office of Residence Life Conduct Review Committee Listening Sessions Focus Groups Benchmarking Recommendation to Vice President for Student Affairs & Board of Trustees

The Current Disciplinary Process • Office of Residence Life receives a report • Office of Residence Life delivers the student(s) involved a summons (Disciplinary Conference) or a charging letter (Disciplinary Hearing) • Student meets in Office of Residence Life • Student submits written statement • Student attends verbal decision meeting • Student receives written decision letter • Student can request a Case Review

Today’s Listening Session What it’s about: What it’s not about: • A clear student voice and input • Your constructive ideas • Your suggestions about University disciplinary process • Contributing your feedback for the creation of a new process • Creating a disciplinary process that will work for Notre Dame • Policies (parietals, alcohol policy, carnivorous fish) • Discussion of individual student cases • Disputing prior decisions you have heard about • Personal commentary about your Rector • Personal experience with the Office of Residence Life and Housing
