  2. On average there are about 8 or 9 basic cuts of meat that come form the beef, with many variations leading off of the basic cuts. Here’s a few cuts and variations, - Round steak - Boneless Rump Roast - Bottom Round Roast - Tip Roast - Tip Steak THE MEAT

  5. The basic cuts of beef Diagram of the cut’s Fun fact; With an average market (live or on hoof) weight of 1,150 lbs. The typical steer will produce a 715 lb. (dressed weight) carcass. So right at around ½ of the animal can be used for meat, and the rest can be used as By Products.
