Biocite Justification • Widespread use of antibiotics is a major contributing factor to antibiotic-resistant bacteria in our ecosystem • Trend to use “natural” products • Biocite is made entirely from FDA GRAS constituents • Biocite is performing well in laboratory and field trials • Biocite is very cost-effective

A safe alternative • ß-(1-3/1-6)-glucan component enhances the non-specific defence system in a variety of animals • The bio-flavonoids are effective against a number of opportunistic pathogens • ß-glucan and alginates act as a powerful immunostimulants by activating the white blood cells • antibiotics are very specific in their mode of action

Biocite constituents • Biocite contains a rich source of ß-(1-3/1-6)-glucan, which has been consistently shown in multitudes of studies as a stimulator of the immune system. • It has the ability to activate macrophages, neutrophils and other white blood cells that have the ß-glucan receptor on their surface • Only ß-(1-3/1-6)-glucan interacts with the CR3 protein on macrophages to trigger the immune system

7. Administration of Biocite • Optimum results are obtained with 2 kg/ton of feed • Administrated either continuously or up to 4 weeks with, followed by 3 weeks without, etc.. • Prior to vaccination, transportation or any condition that favours an onset of disease • To stimulate the immune system

Aquaculture usage • Finfish are very susceptible to a variety of diseases because pathogens can thrive and proliferate rapidly in water • Disease spread is very difficult to control • Biocite-Aqua administered in the feed increases the resistance to infectious organisms and controls disease • Particularly effective in intensive fish farms

9. Young fish and shrimps • The non-specific defence mechanisms of young fish and shrimp can be enhanced significantly by immersing them in “solutions” containing Biocite-Aqua • This treatment is commonly applied to improve health and reduce mortality
