Arco Gateway (San Luis / Missouri) 192m 192m El Gateway Arch , tiene la forma de la gráfica de una combinación de funciones exponenciales(no de una una paábola como pudiera parecer a primera vista). Específicamente se trata de una Catenaria cuya ecuación es de la forma y = a(ebx+e-bx). Se seleccionó esta forma porque es la óptima para distribuir las fuerzas estructurales internas del arco hacia la cimentación 2003-2
