  2. Vitalize • Definition: to endow with life or energy • Part of Speech: verb • Sentence: After a long day, a hearty meal and a long nap vitalized the farmer.

  3. Lave • Definition: to wash or bathe • Part of Speech: verb • Sentence: The cold water from the stream gently laved her burned fingers.

  4. Bedeck • Definition: to cover with an ornament • Part of Speech: verb • Sentence: The young couple bedecked their house with hundreds of miniature lights for the party.

  5. Circumvent • Definition: to surround; enclose; bypass • Part of Speech: verb • Sentence: We were able to circumvent the heavy traffic by taking a short-cut.

  6. Appease • Definition: to soothe, to pacify or relieve by giving into • Part of Speech: verb • Sentence: The tired mother tried to appease her children by letting them do want they wanted.
