  3. The Inca Tribe was the largest tribe ever known in the Americas 12 million 7 million About double the population of Israel!

Government • It took about 100 years for the empire to grow to such large numbers • It was an organized empire and everything was controlled: from the people’s jobs, to their marriage, to their dietary restrictions • Each new ruler of the Incas was called the Sapa Inca, child of the sun, and was referred to as a god • To make sure the next Sapa Inca would have “pure blood of the sun” the Sapa Inca would have to marry his sister

Incan statues The Incas loved color and patterns so it was a custom to have many textiles throughout their homes. the tiles you had were depended on the gods you worship Since the Incas had a lot of gold and silver they made many statues.Today they are in museums in the United States and Europe.   8. Today you can see the abandoned city in the town of Machu Picchu, which is now one of the world’s great wonders.

  9. THEEND! Even though the great Inca Civilization disappeared, traces of its culture remain all through Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia. Hopefully their traces will be passed from many generations to come.
