  2. Objectives • By the end of our time today, you will be able to: • Try different models of quizzing • Make slight modifications to your units to fit the standards-based model. • Experiment with formative assessments and standards based grading.

  3. Why Quiz? Take a 2 minutes to consider the principle reasons that you give quizzes? Some reasons might include: Accountability: to make sure the students are studying Practice: Help the students assess their own learning. Prepare: Get students ready for the test. Inform: Gather data to guide future instruction The main reason that I give quizzes is….
